The WHHS Fire Academy Club recently visited the WHHS Fire Department for a hands-on learning experience, where they explored firefighting equipment, learned how it works, and gained valuable insight into the profession 🚒

The Wellness Committee hosted an Easter Egg Hunt this past weekend at Haley School’s playground. Staff and their kids joined in on the fun, organized by Washington School teacher Bianca Whitaker with help from WHHS students and a special visit from the Easter Bunny 🐣🐰🌸

Join us in congratulating West Haven Varsity Basketball senior Aaron Johnson on earning GametimeCT Athlete of the Week honors! In the state championship game, he delivered an impressive performance, shooting 11 for 14 from the field while recording 27 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals. 🏀🔥

Best of luck to our Boys Varsity Basketball Team and Unified Basketball Team as they compete for a state championship this Saturday at Mohegan Sun Arena! Over this week, both teams represented us at the CIAC luncheon, were celebrated with a school-wide clap out, and got ready for their big game with a special team lunch. We’re proud of you, go make it happen! 🏀💙🏆🔥

West Haven High School students got hands-on with careers in STEM and trades! 🚀 Our Engineering and Trades classes visited the Ready CT Manufacturing Road Show at the University of New Haven, then welcomed Dr. Byungik Chang and Tommy Tran from the Connecticut Society of Civil Engineers to explore opportunities in civil engineering. Thanks to our guest speakers for inspiring the next generation of engineers!

Congratulations to the boys varsity basketball team and the unified basketball team on making it to the state championship! The varsity team earned their spot by beating rival Notre Dame West Haven and will face Staples, while the unified team won both of their games this past weekend to advance and take on Windsor. Both teams will play at Mohegan Sun. Good luck to our blue and white teams, you have a whole school and city behind you rooting for you 🏀🔵⚪
