Important Notice: All West Haven Public Schools will open on a 2-hour delay today due to icy conditions. Please note that Bailey Middle School’s previously scheduled half day has been changed, and students will now dismiss at their normal time today.
Carrigan Intermediate School Important Notice: With anticipated inclement weather tomorrow morning, we have taken the proactive step of changing Tuesday, March 3rd to a full day of school in case there is a delay tomorrow morning. Even if there is no delay, tomorrow will be a full day at Carrigan School.
Parent/teacher in-person conferences tomorrow evening are cancelled. Our staff will reach out individually to parents who had conferences regarding grades, attendance, and behavior. Conferences may be rescheduled by staff and parents to meet in person, by phone, or virtually.
Thank you for your flexibility during this very challenging winter season. Again, even if there is no delay, tomorrow will be a full day at Carrigan School and evening conferences are cancelled.

Important Notice: Due to the half day scheduled for staff development and the prospect of more snow tomorrow, all West Haven Public Schools will be closed on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. This will give the city additional time to clean bus stops and plow roads for those who are still snowed in. With this decision, we expect a full day of school on Thursday, February 26, 2026. Additional updates will be provided as they become available.
