☘️ Our kids at Mackrille watched an incredible Irish step-dancing performance by students at the Lenihan School of Irish Dance today! They learned some moves from the dancers as well! The gym doors and front stage also featured some excellent paintings by our talented students!

Students in grades K – 4 learned all about recycling today at Forest Elementary School! Several students also volunteered to demonstrate their recycling knowledge in front of their peers, when they were handed display food items and asked to throw the trash and/or recyclables into the correct containers. The kids did a great job!
The assembly concluded with a Q&A session as our curious students asked many questions!

Students at Carrigan enjoyed a motivational speech that included some incredible basketball tricks! The kids were entertained by the impressive ball-handling skills, and some were even called on stage to perform! In between the dribbling, our students received some great advice about finding what you love to do and sticking with it, and that anything is possible if you put in the work!

The University of New Haven Dental Hygiene Program will be hosting a 'Give Kids a Smile' Event! Free preventive services will be provided for kids and adolescents, aged 3-18. Please see the flyer below for more information.


The United Way of Greater New Haven teamed with lady athletes from the University of New Haven to share the love of reading with new books. Each classroom was gifted three new books for their classroom libraries. Some of the titles included “Those Shoes”, “Mae Among the Stars”, “The Rabbit Listened”, “Malala’s Magic Pencil”, and “The Color Monster”.

The West Haven High School HOSA Club ran a successful fundraiser and used the profits to purchase products for the WHHS Pantry! They are donating Health and Beauty supplies for the pantry ranging from sulfate-free shampoo to body wash and toothpaste. They purchased these items in hopes that, whoever needs them, can receive these items for free with no hassle! They want everyone to be healthy and clean! “If you look good, then you feel good.”
