This week’s West Haven Public Schools Athlete of the Week is Samantha Close, #13, a senior on the girls varsity volleyball team.
Last week in three games, Samantha totaled 17 kills, 13 aces, 4 blocks, 3 digs, and 2 assists, playing a major role in the team’s success. The Blue Devils are off to a strong 9–2 start as they travel to face Wilbur Cross tomorrow at 5:30 PM, looking to add another win to their record.
Samantha will be a key player to watch in the matchup.
