West Haven Public Schools: Game of the Week (September 14 – September 20, 2025)
This week’s highlighted event is the West Haven Blue Devils varsity football home opener against the Shelton Gaels. The game is set for Friday, September 19, at 6:00 PM at Ken Strong Stadium in West Haven, CT.
This SCC contest has West Haven coming off a 35-14 win over Shelton last year. Currently, Shelton sits at a record of 1-0 coming off a win vs. Conard by a score of 41-21. Meanwhile, West Haven holds a record of 1-0 coming off a win against Manchester with a final score of 30-6.
Fans will be eager to see the Blue Devils take the field this season under new Head Coach Tom Unger. This home opener is especially anticipated as West Haven comes off back-to-back state championship appearances, and fans are excited to see what the team has in store this year.
