The 2025 Honors Cord Award Ceremony was held in the WHHS Auditorium to recognize students who have demonstrated consistent academic excellence throughout their high school careers.
To earn this prestigious recognition, students were required to maintain a B average or higher in all four quarters of their freshman, sophomore, and junior years, as well as the first three quarters of their senior year, specifically in Honors and AP-level courses. Those who met these rigorous standards were awarded a gold honors cord, which they will proudly wear with their cap and gown during graduation on June 11th.
In addition to the cord presentations, three distinguished Book Awards were also announced:
Hudson Axelrod received the Seton/Yale Club of New Haven Book Award
Malena Noboa-Egas was honored with the Harvard Book Prize Award
Jennifer Ngo was presented with The Smith College Club of Greater New Haven Award
Congratulations to all the recipients for their dedication, perseverance, and outstanding academic achievement!
