Carrigan Intermediate School recently held another successful Caring Cougar assembly, recognizing students who exemplify positive behavior and strong character. These students were celebrated for being role models within the school community and for consistently demonstrating kindness, responsibility, and respect.
In addition to recognizing individual students, the assembly highlighted academic achievements. The top-performing 5th and 6th grade clusters were honored with the prestigious trophy for having the highest usage of iReady and Lexia, two key learning platforms that support reading and math growth.
The celebration also included a fun incentive for students who were caught performing acts of kindness. These students were randomly selected to play a round of Plinko, where they had the chance to win a variety of prizes. In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, several staff members were also given the chance to join in on the fun. Mr. Foley, Mrs. Heath, Ms. Pitts, Ms. Izzo, Ms. McClure, and Mr. Merola were selected to play Plinko and celebrate alongside the students.
The Caring Cougar assembly continues to reinforce the values that Carrigan promotes every day. Congratulations to all the students who were recognized for their hard work, kindness, and academic efforts. Keep up the great work!
