West Haven Public Schools Athlete of the Week: Zoe Powell
Junior Zoe Powell has been named the West Haven Public Schools Athlete of the Week following an impressive performance at the recent Invitational meet. Powell, a standout in girls track, qualified for two events at the state meet, showcasing her incredible skill and determination. She set personal bests in both Javelin and Discus, throwing 85-4 in Javelin and 84-3 in Discus.
At the Invitational, Powell placed 3rd in Javelin, earning a well-deserved medal, and 4th in Discus, securing valuable team points. Beyond her individual achievements, Powell also excels as a team captain, leading by example both on and off the field.
