Greetings

Welcome members of the Bailey Middle School Community.
Our school leadership and staff are available to make your transition and
growth as pleasant, productive and rewarding as possible.  The middle
school experience is the growth and development period commonly referred
to as the “Trying Years.” We will help guide you through this experience
as you are exposed to a major social growth and a new school program
structure.  To reach your maximum potential, you must take advantage of
the “Bailey Opportunities” which include available services both during
and after the regular school hours.  For more information, your school
counselor can assist and advise you at anytime.  Together, I’m confident
that you will develop further your academic and social life skills which
will provide you with the foundation necessary to continue on to your high
school experience and beyond.

The West Haven School District Middle School Program of Study will offer
you the core academic courses as well as electives such as Tech Education,
Home Economics, Computer Instruction, Fine Arts, Foreign Language, Health,
Physical Education, Study Skills, Consumer Awareness, and Communications.

The Bailey Community is very proud of its successful past.  Our program
has prepared students with the necessary skills to meet the challenges of
high school and eventually go on to a successful career as well as
entrance into prestigious colleges and universities.  Their success began
with the mindset that education is a “life long process.”
