MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Washington Elementary School is to work in partnership with parents/ guardians and the community to enable our students to become independent, respectful, self-confident, and responsible citizens who respect diversity. We expect our students to strive to reach their maximum potential academically, socially, emotionally, and physically. As a result of our commitment, students will become life-long learners who enjoy learning.

Our Beliefs

Washington Elementary School believes:

  • Every child has the right to learn in a safe, orderly, nurturing, and supportive environment.
  • Every child can and will learn.
  • Every child has the right to a challenging academic program in which he/she has equal access to the same learning experiences, curricula, and materials in the least restrictive environment.
  • Children learn best when they are actively involved and engaged in their learning.
  • That an educational program builds on learning experiences that develop learners who are capable of making informed decisions , as well as expressing themselves effectively.
  • In promoting multicultural awareness where students are provided opportunities to talk about prejudice, stereotyping, tolerance, and benefits of diversity.
  • All staff members are responsible for the education of all the children in the school.
