Washington Elementary School hosted Board of Education and City Council members, as well as Superintendent of Schools Neil C. Cavallaro and Mayor Edward M. O'Brien, yesterday for a visit to its four kindergarten classrooms. The group came to learn more about the new all-day kindergarten curriculum and how K classes have adjusted to the schedule, as this is the first year all six of our elementary schools have the full-day kindergarten program. Washington showed the "morning stations" youngsters rotate through over the course of each week; each station focuses on a certain skill with small groups of students.
