  1. What is the difference between history and pre-history? (How do we know about these times?)
  2. Where and why did Civilizations/cities arise in the locations in which they did?
  3. How did the leaders keep order during Ancient civilizations?
  4. How did civilizations develop their economies?

 

Big Idea(s):

 

  1. History is the time when people wrote down or used oral traditions to record the events and things that happened and Pre-History is the time before writing occurred.
  2. A locations fertile soil, water and climate allowed people to begin farming.
  3. Leaders (religious or kings) would develop laws and governments to keep order.
  4. Civilizations would conquer or trade with other empires.
